Saturday’s Poem: There is Time

time

THERE IS TIME by Linda Pastan

There is timeto tell you

the only story I know

A youth sets out,

A man or woman returns;

the rest is simply incident

or weather.

And yet what storms I could describe

swirling in every thumbprint.

I don't stand still and look around
On all the hills I haven't hoed,
And shout from where I am, What is it?
No, not as there is a time to talk.
