A Fish Tale
It is 1974, and this is the sandy shore of a lake in South Carolina, and I'm standing with my friend's father, who had the wonderful name of Jordan Clarence, and if you look really close you can see a tiny catfish suspended from my fishing line.
It was my first time fishing ever, and I've not gone fishing since.
But see? I caught a fish that day, albeit a rather small one.
Don't worry: I threw him right back.
It didn't take much to delight me then. I told everyone forever after that I'd once caught a fish.
And as you can see, it’s true.
